soundBRIDGE

Structures are all around us, defined as, “the arrangement of and relations between the parts or elements of something complex,” or “something arranged in a definite pattern of organization,” or simply, the construction of something.

soundBRIDGE is an interactive physical and aural experience, exploring and making connections between sound and structure.

Imagine yourself walking along a bridge, thumping your finger against each spindle, but this time the bridge answers back, playing a melody, so you move through the bridge again, creating melodies that move with you. What happens when you move fast? Move slow? Move together or apart?

soundBRIDGE was an awarded commissioned exhibit generously supported by and exhibited at the Children’s Museum of Santa Barbara, dba MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation, Santa Barbara, CA. August – October 2019 in collaboration with Dr. Zach Zubow, Assistant Professor of Music at Queens University of Charlotte.
